To our IOD community, and especially our French speaking makers,
We made a mistake that has been brought to our attention, and we want to make our community aware of it as well. On the Belsnickel mould in our winter release, the two little dots in "Noël", known as the trema, ended up over the O instead of the E. That's not correct French, and you deserved better from us. We didn’t catch the mistake, and we're sorry.
We’ve considered the options and as a small business, a recall isn’t feasible. However, we understand that this mould may not be right for you now. If that is the case for you, please reach out to the stockist you purchased the mould from to return it, and we'll gladly support a full refund.
If you want to keep your mould and still use this cavity, we will be providing a work around to remove the dots in your castings. This will result in the word reading "NOEL" , a version commonly used in English.
Certainly not ideal, and definitely an extra step that should not have to happen. We are working internally on our quality control process, and we truly appreciate your grace and understanding as we get better.
